Workshop & Class Sign-Up with Limited Seats
A workshop has a constraint most events don't: a room only holds so many people. Once you're past that number, every extra sign-up is a problem rather than a success - someone has to be told no, usually by you, individually.
Registration with a capacity limit handles that automatically. Each session has a number of spots, and when they're gone the page says so.
How it works
- Create one date option per session you're running.
- Give each session its own capacity - they don't have to match, and an evening class and a weekend one rarely do.
- Decide how many sessions one person may book, if you want to stop one keen participant taking four slots.
- Share the link. Participants see the remaining spots per session and pick one.
- Watch sessions fill. A full session closes itself; you don't have to monitor it.
Good for
- Classes and workshops with a physical room limit
- Multi-session courses where people pick the date that suits them
- Free community sessions that fill quickly
- Anything you currently run on a first-come email list
Why per-session capacity matters
Running the same workshop three times with one shared sign-up list tells you how many people are interested, not whether any individual session can actually run. Per-session limits give you the number that decides whether to open another date.
Questions people ask
What happens when a session is full?
It shows as full and can't be booked. Anyone arriving late sees your other sessions with spots still open, which is usually where they go.
Can I stop one person booking every session?
Yes. Set a maximum number of dates per person and the form enforces it.
Can people cancel if plans change?
Yes, from their own link. That's worth encouraging - a cancelled spot that reopens is better for you than a no-show.
Is there a waiting list?
Not yet. Most organisers handle it by opening an extra session once demand is clear, which the per-session numbers make easy to judge.
Do participants need an account?
No. They register from the link with their name and email.
