Doodle Alternative: Free, No Account, No Ads
Most people go looking for a Doodle alternative for one of three reasons: they hit the one-poll limit, they got tired of ads showing up for the people they invited, or they were asked to create an account just to ask five friends which Saturday works.
Pickadate.net is a free scheduling tool that does the same core job - propose some dates, share one link, see who can make it - without any of those three.
How the two compare
As of late 2026, Doodle's free tier allows one active group poll at a time with up to 10 time slots, requires an account to create one, and shows ads to the organizer and to everyone invited. Reminders, response deadlines and the "if need be" middle answer sit on the paid plan, listed around $15/month (less if paid annually). Doodle's own pricing page is the authority on what that costs today.

How to switch
- Open the create form - there's no sign-up step to get through first.
- Pick the mode that matches what you're doing: a poll if the date is still open, an RSVP if it's already fixed, a roster for recurring shifts, or registration if spots are limited.
- Add your candidate dates, and times if the time of day matters.
- Share the one link with your group, however you already talk to them.
- Watch answers arrive. Nobody you invite has to sign up for anything.
Questions people ask
Is Pickadate.net really free?
Yes, and there's no tier above it to upsell you to. Every mode, any number of events, any number of people.
Do people I invite need an account?
No. They open the link, answer, and they're done. That's true for the organizer too.
Can I run more than one event at a time?
Yes, as many as you like. That single-active-poll limit is the specific thing that sends most people looking for an alternative in the first place.
Can people answer "maybe"?
Yes. Yes, maybe and no are all there by default, not behind a plan.
What happens to my event afterwards?
Events created without an account are deleted 30 days after their last date passes. If you create an account, your events stay on your dashboard until you delete them.
Can I use it in my own language?
It runs in English, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Spanish, French, German, Italian and Dutch. Everyone you invite reads it in the language the event was created in.
